National Ed Tech Leader Calls for Nominations to Recognize and Celebrate 1,000 Teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Month

ClassTag, the national leader for innovative communication technology connecting teachers with parents, will give away 1,000 prizes during National Teacher Appreciation Month. Through its Make It Happen campaign, they invite us all to celebrate the profound impact of teachers on our lives.

The Make It Happen campaign seeks nominations from students, parents, teachers, teacher friends and anyone else who was impacted by an amazing teacher in their life. Teachers can even nominate themselves sharing their own impact story. Nominations can be submitted today, May 7th, through May 19th, for any teachers working in the US in Early Education and K-12. Winners to be announced on June 10th via ClassTag’s social media channels. Prizes range from books and classroom supplies to speakers, free meals, and backpacks.

“Teachers give everyday. They give kindness, wisdom, love, energy, and money from their own pockets to cover supplies and resources that bring education to life. In short, they Make it Happen ,” says Vlada Lotkina, co-founder and CEO of ClassTag. “We created the Make it Happen campaign to shine a light on these moments and give amazing teachers more support. And, by collecting these stories together with the hashtag, we’ll paint a beautiful picture of the wonderful impact our educators have on us and our children for the rest of their lives.”

ClassTag is the first education communications app to include a rewards program to give back to teachers year-round. This expansion of the rewards program and Make It Happen campaign is made possible through partnerships with Under Armour, HP, National Geographic, MacMillan, Carson Dellosa, Kid Made Modern, Wilson, Zipit, Melissa & Doug and Red Robin .

Since 1984, National PTA has designated one week in May as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. This year, the annual occurrence will take place from May 6 – 10.
