The Learning Counsel spoke with Bridget Foster of SIIA (Software & Information Industry Association) during their Education Impact Symposium in San Francisco on July 26th. This summer conference for SIIA focused on helping EdTech companies to navigate the rapid changes happening in K-20 teaching and learning. The Learning Counsel found the panels, breakout sessions, networking and discussions went deep and were dealing with the real challenges in teacher professional development, district-wide tech strategy issues, security, analytics, how to transition from paper to digital and more. This interview gives a sense of the several day conference and what SIIA is doing to support the entire education sector.
