Learning Bird Adds Quizzes

Industry News
New feature provides students faster response to intervention, and helps advance the student learning process

MONTREAL - Learning Bird announced today it has added quizzes to its award-winning learning platform. This makes it easier for teachers to easily create and assign quizzes and for students to test their understanding of a topic. Teachers have direct access to tens of thousands of topic-aligned questions that they can use to build quizzes. This allows them to easily check for understanding and respond quickly and intervene as needed. Administrators can now also see reports on overall Learning Bird usage and can view student results and progress at the individual, class, and school levels.

Teachers will save hours in delivering differentiated instruction as they now have a complete solution that allows them to easily find vetted and aligned content, assign lessons and check for understanding by quizzing students and viewing results immediately.

“By adding quizzes, we’re not only saving teachers time in offering differentiated instruction in their classes, we’re allowing administrators to see how students are performing and how teachers are checking for understanding,” said Henry Ryan, chief executive officer of Learning Bird. “We know differentiation improves student scores, and we want to do everything we can to help students perform at their highest level.”

Learning Bird’s quizzes are powered by Certica Solutions’ Formative Assessment Item Bank, a dynamic, expertly developed bank of math, English language arts, science and social studies questions used for creating custom assessments. All of the questions are created by experienced writers and content specialists and are put through multiple rounds of review for style, consistency, grammar, accuracy, bias and sensitivity. The questions are aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS), state-specific versions of CCSS, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), state-specific versions of NGSS, and state standards for science, social studies and non-Common Core states, so teachers can be confident that they match learning objectives.

Learning Bird offers all teachers free accounts where they can use the platform with up to five students. Teachers can access all of the Learning Bird vetted and aligned digital lessons and can even assign lessons. Teacher accounts will also have free access to the new quizzes feature for the first 30 days. Visit https://www.learningbird.com/iamateacher to sign-up for your free account.

Learning Bird’s new quiz feature is available as of Monday (Feb. 8).

Pricing for Learning Bird starts at $12 per student per year without quizzes, and $16 per student per year with quizzes. Special district-level pricing is also available.
