Apperson’s Evo Social & Emotional assessment has been named one of District Administration’s Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products. The Top 100 Products awards feature the best education tools selected from more than 1,500 submissions. The final 100 were selected based on nominations and testimonies by administrators and school leaders nationwide.
“We are pleased that district leaders are showing their support for Evo Social & Emotional by nominating it for this award,” said Bill Apperson, chairman of the board of Apperson. “Apperson’s Evo SEL assessment provides necessary data on students’ social and emotional strengths and needs. This recognition proves that educators believe social and emotional learning is important to a child’s overall development.”
Evo Social & Emotional is a K-8 online assessment and intervention tool that uses the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA) to help educators measure students’ SEL skills and it provides strategies for instruction and intervention. It is one way Apperson supports educators, administrators and out-of-school-time organizations in implementing social-emotional learning programs within their schools.
In its write up of Evo SEL, District Administration noted that it is a “user-friendly” online tool to assess a student’s social and emotional learning competence and resiliency.
