Promethean^TM, a global education technology company, announced today that ClassFlow Desktop is now the software of choice for use with all Promethean interactive panels and displays. ClassFlow Desktop is Promethean’s next-generation of lesson delivery software and is designed for use with Promethean interactive displays. As a downloadable software application, ClassFlow Desktop enables teachers to easily build and present interactive lessons in both offline and online computing environments.

ClassFlow Desktop delivers much of the same functionality of Promethean’s legacy interactive display software, ActivInspire™. It provides educators with a suite of new and improved features, including a simplified user interface and functions to enable collaboration with students via Chromebooks^TM, mobile PCs, and tablets. In addition, ClassFlow Desktop gives teachers access to an online global marketplace with millions of high tech, interactive, and 3D multimedia lessons, resources, experiments, and simulations.

If an internet connection is detected, ClassFlow Desktop allows teachers to send instant quizzes, polls, activities, and digital badges to students.

ClassFlow Desktop includes a suite of powerful interactive teaching tools, such as protractors, calculators, rulers, and more. It can easily convert lessons designed in many popular file formats, including SMART Notebook®, Promethean ActivInspire, Microsoft® PowerPoint®, and Adobe® PDF. ClassFlow Desktop is available for Windows®, Mac®, and Linux® operating systems.
