These certifications are based on recent research conducted by third-party LXD Research, which demonstrates that Just Right Reader meets ESSA Standards of Evidence for efficacy and that Just Right Reader’s highly engaging decodable books help students accelerate their reading achievement.

As part of its certification process, EduEvidence validated research conducted by LXD Research which found the Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs™ and Classroom Libraries of highly-engaging decodable books were proven to help students in a Texas school district make measurable gains in reading. Notably, kindergarten students using the Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs™ demonstrated higher end-of-year DIBELS composite scores compared to a group of students using a competitor’s decodables. The effect size in this quasi-experimental study was moderate (Cohen’s d = 0.393), indicating statistically significant added growth in students’ literacy skills.
