Texas is now the second state to officially approve PragerU as an educational vendor just one month after the announcement of the nonprofit’s partnership with Florida’s Department of Education.
PragerU Kids materials include turnkey supplementary lesson plans for grades K-12. The lessons use videos, activities, and worksheets to cover a variety of subjects, including civics, history, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, while also bringing core knowledge and transparency back to the classroom.
A member of the Texas State Board of Education, Julie Pickren, was recently featured in a video with PragerU’s CEO Marissa Streit to announce the partnership. “Texas is now going to develop, write, and publish our own core knowledge curriculum for kindergarten through 12th grade,” says Pickren. “This is going to be brand new to the state and we will officially have Texas curriculum.”
Since PragerU announced its first partnership with the state of Florida, the support from parents and educators across the country has been heart-warming, while the attacks from left-wing legacy media outlets and teachers unions have been expected.
