Chris McMurray is the Vice President of EduJedi Leadership at the Learning Counsel, and one of only two individuals to ever hold the level of EduJedi Grandmaster. In his duties with the EduJedi, he has been working on the EduJedi Digital Learning Experience Standards, exploring what details might be missing that could really help organizations and generally making this year’s volume the most complete and helpful ever. This work included 22 meetings to review all the terminology and the dictionary, adding and editing terms across categories. It's been very arduous work, but also a labor of love.

According to McMurray, “This is important information to understand and to digest and figure out how it fits into your system and your thinking. What we're talking about today is really beyond digital literacy. This is a deeper understanding by leadership by learning leaders and by learners themselves about what a digital learning experience should be and what a learning experience should be. And then more critically, how do our systems align to create that and to support it, and then to help it grow and move. And how do we support teachers in that? How do we support administrative building administrators? All those jobs that are so daunting that, that we have all experienced, how do we help those to move forward? Because that's really the purpose of technology, to help us to do the human things, right? And so technology has evolved to such a point where it actually can. It can actually do that. And so we're going to look at a few of those things today.

In this discussion, McMurray has the ability to break it down into very discernable bits. Whether you are a classroom teacher, building principal or central office administrator, you have digital responsibilities, and understanding the progression of digital sophistication will ensure your learners have the best chance for supreme success. “We want to move toward the designing of learning experiences, and have that conversation for sure,” said McMurray. “Personalized learning is where we're all going. And that's another consideration that shows up in the standards for administrators and it speaks to that end user experience. There are a lot of people who have already been down this road and luckily we get to work with a lot of those people and that's very helpful. And, and in fact, it's heartening to me to know that I can turn to one of my colleagues who's been doing this for longer than I have, has gone down this path, experienced some pain and can speak to that.”

This is definitely don’t miss, won’t miss video. So, tune in, experience the experience standards and prepare to enhance the digital experiences of your learners.
