The Teaching Channel Platform is a single resource for the professional learning needs of K-12 teachers and higher education instructors.

It offers Teaching Channel’s library of more than 1,600 exemplar videos plus an array of tools to enable video-based self-reflection and collaborative peer feedback via professional learning communities (PLCs) and teacher cohorts. The platform offers informal and formal instructional and coaching support and workflows, access to professional development resources, and a dashboard to show usage and progress.

The Resource Center provides supporting materials to help educators learn teaching strategies, as well as coaching techniques and leadership lessons. Educators can identify favorite videos and create their own playlists or browse Teaching Channel playlists curated by topic. Institutions can use their own Account Library to upload videos, lessons, and other resources.

The platform’s Activity Center enables educators to:

● Create, organize, and monitor all their coaching activities;

● Upload videos for reflection, peer feedback, use in PLCs, and coaching;

● Reflect on and share videos from the Teaching Channel Library or their institution’s Account Library with peers, observers, and school leaders;

● Create and meet with PLCs;

● Conduct in-person observations;

● Calibrate for observation through personalized video training and assessment;

● Embed notes or questions and add documents for context; and

● Identify areas of focus so they can take charge of their professional development.
