With announcements of school closures across the country and a commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of the PBL community, PBLWorks has decided to move its annual PBL World conference to an online format.

PBL World 2020 Online will take place over three days, June 16-18, 2020. To register, visit PBLWorld.org

The online conference will bring all the elements of PBLWorks’ professional learning to attendees via digital connection and collaboration tools. Educators will participate in an engaging, highly interactive Project Based Learning experience, and will collaborate in virtual small and large group activities guided by PBLWorks’ expert National Faculty.

“These are challenging times for all of us as we work to be effective educators during school closures. We’re determined to bring to our community a robust, hands-on professional development experience that educators can participate in from the comfort of their homes,” said Bob Lenz, CEO of PBLWorks.

PBL World 2020 Online will feature keynote speaker Zaretta Hammond, an educational leader in culturally responsive teaching practices. Additional keynote speakers will be revealed in the coming months. PBL workshops that run over the course of the three-day conference include:

PBL 101 Workshop – A foundational course in Gold Standard Project Based Learning, this workshop delivers strategies that lead to sustained changes in educators’ practice.

PBL 201 Workshop – An in-depth course for experienced PBL practitioners focused on Gold Standard Project Based Teaching practices.

PBL Leadership Team Workshop – A dive into how school and district leaders can create the conditions needed for Project Based Learning to thrive in their systems.
